Authentic Intuitive Movement

(aim: a purpose or intention toward which one's efforts are directed)

Join us for an evening of freestyle dance ~ a time for us to let go of our inhibitions and let the healing power of movement restore our bodies, minds and spirits!

What is Authentic Intuitive Movement?

Authentic Intuitive Movement is a simple form of self-directed movement with the idea that we all have our own dance. It is done with eyes closed or open and attention directed inward. Dancers explore spontaneous gestures, movements, and stillness, following inner impulses in the present moment. We will begin and end in a circle, sharing our intentions and insights. The music will play for one hour and will vary from popular to global. Often the experience of AIM feels like meaningful play and is full of fun. At other times dancers experience intense feelings and wisdom into their own being. There is no wrong or right way to dance, just come as you are and dance as you are. Shake It, Move It, Feel It~ No Experience Necessary!!!

Saturdays, 5-6:30 pm
1/7, 2/4, & 3/3
